A stealth projector hides every block within its radius from other players. A ship that is entirely hidden is invisible on their screens until it gives itself away: a firing laser, magnet or thruster reveals the block it is on.
Stealth takes a moment to build up and covers the ship a block at a time, so a ship that has just been revealed is briefly in plain sight.
